New Jersey Nets

The New Jersey Nets are a National Basketball Association (NBA) team that calls New Jersey home. The Nets, whose franchise began as the New Jersey Americans of the now-defunct American Basketball Association in the 1960s, will relocate to Brooklyn and the new Barclays Center in 2012. For now, the Nets play their home games at the Prudential Center in Newark. With division rivals like the New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and the best of the NBA coming to play in New Jersey, the Nets home games are always entertaining. The Nets have played for the NBA championship several times in the past decade, but have been unable to win the title. The Nets hope that the move to Brooklyn will help change their luck.
